Ok, so a huge change in plans. After careful consideration and deep thought, we have decided to change our wedding venue. I know its a huge detail but since I have a whole year to plan now is the best time to make any major changes and this is definitely one of them. Although the Lido Key Resort is absolutely gorgeous, it just didn't grab my heart the way it should have. BUUUT I have found a replacement venue that I am absolutely in LOVE with. Matt and I are going to tour it when he gets to Florida in 2 weeks. It is the Powel Crosley Estate located on the Sarasota Bay. I looked at the venue online earlier in my planning but overlooked it thinking it was wayyy out of our budget, but to my surprise it is way cheaper than the Lido Resort, which made me fall in love even more :) But here are a few pictures so you can get an idea of the venue space :) Enjoy and comment if you wish <3
Stunning.
Since the wedding will not be thrown at the resort any longer, lodging for out of towners is now a concern. But fear not, because the Hilton is actually located a few miles away for a place to stay overnight :) Local taxis /bus will be available to drive guests to the Hilton. I will look into group rates on rooms as well and keep it posted on here :)

Remodel-ed !!!
Ok, so I changed my theme and colors completely and I'm allowed to do that because the wedding isn't for an entire year and I haven't made any decisions set in stone yet...Soooo...here are the new colors and photos of inspiration I LOVE. New colors are...Champagne, Blush, Ivory, and Black :)
These pics are examples of the COLORS I love...not necessarily the style.

Dress me up ;)
I've started looking at dresses online to get a general idea of the type of dress I favor. I will post dresses that scream 'Amanda!' along the way until the big purchase is made...Here's a few I stumbled upon tonight...
I prefer the Mermaid type sillohuet because of its elegant flare toward the bottom of the dress....I'm not a big fan of huuuge long trains so this style is perfect. I also really like the lace on this one.

I have an obsession with the tiny little buttons that run down the back of some wedding dresses...I just think its so cute and i've always liked the look of it...This dress is simple but so elegant!
***
I love the sleekness and embroidery on the top and train of this dress....Also, I Looove the buttons that run all the way down the back of it! :)

This one is just pretty to me. I'd have to see it on but I really like the back of it.

This one is also very pretty... I love the shape of it on the body and the detail on the top.

So theres some options that I think are very beautiful...the only hesitation I have about finding a dress online is the fact that I cannot try it on until it's delivered to my house and what if I don't like it!? Then its just an annoying process of sending dresses back and forth if I'm not happy with it...So....We will see what happens! For now, I'm just browsing :)

And the countdown contunies...
We havent officially decided on a wedding date as of yet but I am thinking November 17th, 2012 is a good day to choose. It's the 3rd Saturday of the month. Also, November in Florida is absolutly beautiful...the weather is cool and crisp outside, not too hott and not super cold like January or February. We shall see if thats the date we choose in the coming few months :)

A little introduction!
I've created this blog to express my inner creativity in the wedding planning process...Pictures, ideas, and quotes that inspire me will be shared! To start off my first post I'll show a few pictures of some ideas we have for our beach wedding.
Color Scheme: Black & White with accents of Coral
Print: Damask (Vintage Romance meets Modern Chic)

I aboslutley love these colors together for our big day...The Black and White keep a classic touch to the wedding while the Coral ties in to the ocean scenery we will be around.
I'll use the coral in the bouquets, center peices, and bridesmaid dresses. The table linens and setting will be all black and white.

Bouquets: Coral Calla Lillies & Roses
I lovelovelove this Coreal bouquet of Calla Lillies. So beautiful, only change to this would be a black and white ribbon around the stems.
Another Calla Lillie bouquet I really like...maybe for the bridesmaids but replace the pink for coral.
I also really like these maybe incorperated in the centerpeices on the black and white tables...They are called Anemones.

Thats all for now...I will be posting frequently with all my ideas and inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by <3
